Hi Backers, production is in full swing!
We asked GW for some photos of their production process and as luck would have it, they recently created a video with the 52 Plus Joker 2020 Online Convention. It takes you through the process from start to finish. The process shown in this video is very similar to ours because of the card stock, multiple foils and embossing.
We reach out to USPCC and GW at least once a week to get whatever updates we can. USPCC said the tuck boxes for the Standard and Four-Color decks were completed last week, and they should be printing the card sheets as early as the end of this week. They're waiting to receive the printed seals (not sure why they didn't have those completed weeks if not months ago). Once the card sheets are printed and they have the seals they will package the decks according to their schedule. GW said today that they are hoping to have the premium tuck boxes ready tomorrow.
We're still hoping that fulfillment/shipping will start in March, 2021. We are still at the mercy of USPCC's production schedule. The Premium Tuck Boxes will then take some time to get packaged by GW.
Most of you have completed your BackerKit surveys which is greatly appreciated. We do have 12 backers that have not yet provided their mailing/shipping addresses. We've emailed them directly, as well as messaged them via kickstarter and BackerKit. If you think this might be you, simply check your Kickstarter messages to see if we've contacted you.
When we do start shipping, BackerKit will send out an email giving backers 48 hours to update their address. You're also welcome to message us via kickstarter and we can take care of that for you ahead of time.
We'll keep you updated as new production progress happens, we are close!
Hi Backers, we're excited to announce that the art books have been printed and are now in our hands!
We are so impressed with the high quality of these art books. American Print & Bindery has been a great company to work with. Below are some photos that hopefully show off how amazing these turned out.
One of the coolest parts of the art book are the full-page illustrations. These allow you to see the fine details of the illustrations at a much larger size than the actual playing cards. Below are a couple examples showing the art book compared to the prototype cards.
I'll finish off with a couple close-ups of the book that help show the precision and quality of the printing.
The current estimate (due to the delays explained in Update #27) is that fulfillment/shipping will start in March, 2021.

Hi Backers, we wanted to give you a quick update before Thanksgiving week. Although the delays at USPCC are driving us crazy, everything else is going great.
Things are moving along smoothly with the Art Book and it's currently being printed.
USPCC has told us we'll have digital proofs of the decks by next Tuesday, November 24th. We REALLY hope they follow through with that because we are so excited to get these decks printed and delivered to you as soon as possible. We sent the art files to them over eight weeks ago, so the delay on their end has been extremely frustrating (to put it lightly). Our backers are expecting the cards to be printed by USPCC, so we are at the mercy of the USPCC schedule at this point. Now on to some fun news about that "extra treat" we mentioned in the last update!
We wanted the Mythic Challenge game to be more accessible to all our backers, so we designed two bonus cards that include a summary of the game rules and special card rules. Each backer will get two pair for free. Not only have they been designed, but they are all printed and in our hands. We used DriveThruCards.com to print these, and the turn around time was phenomenal!
